Donations
DO YOU HAVE ITEMS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE TO HAMPDEN LIBRARY?We are always interested in hearing from members of the community who have items they would like to donate. Before bringing items to the library, we ask that all patrons follow these guidelines for donations:
*Items need to be recently published or released (preferably within the past year). Older items may be considered on a case by case basis, depending on the condition and relevance to our collection.
*Patrons are asked to call the library prior to delivery of any donations. Due to staff limitations, we must schedule a time to look at the materials to determine suitability.
*We ask that patrons not drop off any items in the hallway or in our bookdrop. This only creates additional work for our staff who must sort through materials and (in some cases) dispose of unneeded or irrelevant items.
